My Son Uninvited Me From The Wedding I Funded. So I Made One Call That Turned His Big Day Into A Nightmare
The story starts below

I had poured thousands of dollars into making my son’s wedding perfect, covering everything from the flowers to the food.
But just days before the ceremony, I received a shocking email. He told me I was uninvited and made a cruel joke about watching the event online instead.
I didn't cry or scream at him. I simply replied, “Sure. Enjoy your big day.” He clearly forgot whose name was on all the checks, and that was his biggest mistake.
I made one simple phone call, and suddenly, his dream wedding turned into an absolute nightmare.
Signing another large check

Linda sat at her mahogany desk with the wedding budget spreadsheet open on her laptop. She picked up her pen and signed yet another check, this one specifically for the extravagant floral arrangements Mark wanted.
The amount was staggering, but she wanted everything to be perfect for her only son. She never hesitated when it came to his happiness, even when the costs kept climbing higher every week.
This wedding was quickly becoming the most expensive event she had ever funded.
Sending money to the planner

She carefully folded the check and slid it into a crisp white envelope. With steady hands, she addressed it to the high-end wedding planner located in downtown Austin.
This planner was known for creating miracles, provided the client had deep pockets. Linda sealed the envelope and placed it in her outgoing mail pile.
It felt good to help start Mark's new life on the right foot, even if his fiancée, Sarah, seemed indifferent to the effort.
Mark complains about the colors

Her phone rang later that afternoon, interrupting her quiet reading time in the living room. It was Mark, and his tone was immediately agitated rather than grateful.
He started complaining loudly about the shade of the table runners she had selected yesterday. Apparently, the ivory was too dark and clashed with Sarah’s specific vision for the reception hall.
He demanded that she fix it immediately, without asking how her day was going or saying hello first.
Promising to fix the mistake

Linda took a deep breath and held the phone away from her ear for a moment. She calmly assured Mark that she would handle the table runner issue first thing in the morning.
There was still time to swap the linens before the final vendor deposits were due next week. She promised him that everything would look exactly the way Sarah wanted it.
Mark grunted a short acknowledgment and hung up without saying goodbye or thank you.
